Accommodation

York will be lively during the Alumni weekend! In anticipation of this, we have pre-reserved accommodation for you. All campus accommodation is now booked, but there is a wide range of great value options very nearby.

For comfortable and affordable accommodation, and to relive those student days, a college at our partner institution (York St John University) is reserved for the weekend. The accommodation is on Lord Mayor’s Walk, a short distance from the campus. They are single rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, at £21 per night, or £25 with breakfast. Make sure you quote “University of York Alumni Weekend” when you book.

The following hotels and B+Bs are located in the city, close to the campus, and are holding rooms for alumni attending the weekend. Please contact them directly, and make sure you quote “University of York Alumni Weekend”. There are single, double, twin and triple rooms available at £50-£85 per room, per night (minimum two night stay, 15 and 16 June).

There is still availability at other hotels and B+Bs, but you are encouraged to contact these places in the first instance.
