Careers Speaker

The role:

Students love to hear real life stories, and see how skills are used in employment. A talk from a professional working in a particular sector can give a great insight into the world of work.  Students like to hear about where their degree can take them and the opportunities that exist for them once they graduate.

The person:

  • Do you have good presentation and communication skills?
  • Could you prepare and give a lively and interesting talk that engages with students and gives them a real insight into your career path and the work of your sector?
  • Could you take part in a panel discussion and networking events?
  • Could you participate in or lead a workshop to help students develop the vital skills to boost their chances of employment?

The commitment:

As a Speaker you would take part in as many or as few events as you choose – you are under no obligation to accept any offers we make. Some people take part a few times a year – others less frequently - it’s up to you. Events range from a one hour talk to a half day careers event.
