Many online courses, professional development short courses and part-time postgraduate degree programmes, for both personal enrichment and professional development are available to our alumni.

Continued Professional Development

The University of York can provide Continuing Professional Development training courses from across 24 departments and its range of specialist collaborative research units. Our short courses and training programmes are based on the most up-to-date research, using experts in your field, which are tried and tested on a daily basis by our students.

Online and distance learning

York has a range of distance learning courses that offer an innovative and flexible approach to study.  These courses deliver all the hallmarks of a York education to students who need to study at a distance because of geographical location, work or personal commitments.

Centre for Lifelong Learning

The University of York Centre for Lifelong Learning offers a fantastic range of short courses; it offers an array of Accredited, and Non-Accredited (Learning for Pleasure) courses as well as Saturday classes and Online, Distance Learning courses.  All of the courses are open to anyone with an interest in the subject covered.
