The Development Board

The Development Board was created in 2005 to support the work of the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO).  DARO's role is to provide an effective platform from which York can manage its relationships with potential donors (alumni, friends, trusts and foundations and companies).

Purpose of the Development Board

  1. To advise on which areas of University activity are most suitable for fundraising;
  2. For members to act as Ambassadors for the University’s fundraising activities;
  3. To help the University to identify, engage and approach potential donors;
  4. To assist York in expressing thanks to donors and to maintain links between them and the University.
