Help us..

build our future

York is a relatively young university and yet we have achieved so much. Without doubt our 81,000 graduates are our greatest contribution to society.

We must ensure that access to a York education is offered to the best and brightest minds for the next 50 years. From our world-leading research to our engagement with the wider public must remain accessible and of the highest quality

Your gift to the University of York could ensure that the experience we offer to our students enables them to become the leaders, thinkers and innovators of tomorrow.

Please work with us to help build our future

Leave a legacy to help us plan for the future

Making a gift in your will to the University allows you to make a difference to students at York for years to come and have a transformational impact beyond your lifetime.

Philanthropy has played an important role in the success of our first 50 years and with your help we can do more.

Legacy giving will become increasingly important so we'd like to ask you to consider a gift to the University in your will. Making a gift is an active way to help us build our future and realise the potential of tomorrow’s brilliant minds.

With nearly 16,000 students sharing resources, the University aims to update materials continually to ensure the best access to information. Book prices and the amount of information available increase substantially each year and investment in electronic resources is also needed to provide instant access to information.

Funds given by alumni continue to be channelled into the acquisition of new resources including eBooks which make it possible for students to browse titles from the widest range of publishers and choose those which they find useful.
