Centre for Medieval Studies 50th Anniversary events

Dear Alumni and Friends,

22–24 June we will be celebrating 50 years of the Centre for Medieval Studies at York and we already know that alumni and former colleagues will be traveling to join us from across the globe.

We will also be launching our 50th Anniversary Student Fund to support MA scholarships and other student activities for future generations of postgraduates studying the middle ages at York. We already have received some generous donations and we invite you to consider contributing to this fund that will enable new generations to follow in your footsteps.

Our events will reflect on current scholarly approaches and consider future new initiatives, celebrate the achievements of current and former colleagues and students, showcase our work to the public, thank donors, enable alumni to reconnect with us and with each other and, quite simply, to enjoy each other's company. Please find a full programme attached.

I do hope that you will be able to join us, and I look forward to celebrating with you.

Professor Sarah Rees Jones
Director, Centre for Medieval Studies
