Greg Dyke Matching Challenge

I am a strong believer in the importance of a York education being open to talented students, regardless of their background.

I want to encourage those who have never given to York to ‘think again’ as part of the Think York campaign, and donate this academic year

Greg Dyke
Chancellor
Politics alumnus, 1974

In 2014-15, alumnus Greg Dyke is setting you a matching challenge. For first time donors making a single gift, Greg will add 50% to the value of your gift. He has also promised to double the first year value of every new regular gift made to Giving to York this year.

Greg is well-known for being serious about supporting our students and cultivating their potential. He is a long-time donor to the University and our Achieving Excellence bursary programme. This year, he is going even further by promising to match all new donations to our Giving to York programme.

Greg has been inspired to launch the matching challenge by alumnus John Murrell – who matched all new gifts last year – and by our new Vice-Chancellor’s aims to build York’s profile as an institution that cultivates enterprising and highly employable graduates.

The Greg Dyke Matching Challenge is a great incentive for everyone to make a commitment to York at whatever level they are comfortable with.
